I was born and raised in West Tennessee and moved to New Zealand in 1987. I have served as evangelist for NZ churches of Christ in Wellington (1987-1994), Wanganui (1996-2003), and Porirua (2010-2012). I am a dual citizen of the USA and New Zealand, as are both of my daughters, and my wife Lynne is a citizen of the USA with permanent residency status in New Zealand. I am a graduate of Southeast Institute of Biblical Studies (formerly East Tennessee School of Preaching and Missions) and also hold degrees from Freed-Hardeman University (BS Social Work, MA New Testament) and Victoria University of Wellington (PhD Religious Studies). My passion is studying, learning, and teaching the Bible. I have served Freed-Hardeman University as missionary-in-residence (1994-96, 2003-04), and currently as associate professor of Bible and missions, and director of the missions studies program. My family and I are members of the Estes church of Christ in Henderson, TN, where I am one of the elders.
P.S. I love my family!
